In this class we will work with 18 gauge sheet metal. We will weld autmotive sheet metal and do some sanding and grinding. It is a good idea to bring a dust mask, (a covid type mask will work fine). This is an introduction, you may wish to repeat the class to get some practice.

About the Event
Class is taught 6pm-8pm
No prior experience is required for this class, however, you will get much, much more from the class if you take "Welding for Noobs" first, not afterwards, first.
In this class you will learn to weld thin steel sheet metal, 18 guage, which is very challenging, and learn how to prep, sand and grind your weld. Grinders can be dangerous, we will cover safety extensively.
If you want to bring in pieces of your project and they can fit on a roughly 2 foot by three foot bench, that is fine. We will not be welding on full size vehicles in this class.
The focus of this class is prepping and welding on thin steel. We have some tips and tricks to share about electrode selection, abrasives, and managing heat input.
